Talisman of Sealing

The Talisman of Sealing (or Sealing Talisman) is a type of talisman which can be used to shrink a void crack and eventually seal it entirely.

Talismans of Sealing are crafted by level 1 Enchanters at a level 1 Enchanting Table with the appropriate recipe using 2x Shade Essence and 1x Iron Ingot.

Talismans of Sealing can be used from the inventory by clicking on them while standing near a void crack. Using the talisman will drain a portion of the user's energy and attempt to shrink the hole down a stage. Whether the talisman can successfully diminish the void crack is based on its 'Effective Power' rating. When first crafted, a Talisman of Sealing will have a very low Effective Power level and thus will have no effect on most void cracks. Effective Power is increased via the collection of 'Essence', which is awarded every time the Talisman of Sealing is used on a void crack which it has the potential to affect. A newly crafted Talisman of Sealing with an Effective Power of 15 only has the power to effect the two smallest stages of a void crack - the invisible and tiny stages. As these can be hard to find, a Talisman of Divination may be required to assist with locating them.

Due to the energy costs and effort required to empower a Talisman of Sealing and successfully seal a void crack, it is recommended to work as a group equipped with a single talisman to be shared around as well as energy restoring items to ensure the best possibility of success in the endeavour.
