Replicant - Trait

Description: Not born, created. You are a synthetic humanoid known as a 'Caretaker', capable of superhuman feats of strength and intelligence. This great ability comes at the cost of a short existance (sic), and the disconnect of any connection to TRACE.
Cost: 60 GPP
Replicant is a background trait which defines a character as being a replicant, a synthetic humanoid created by the Ascension Group to serve as an obedient robotic servitor which has broken free of its programming and gone on the run. Replicants benefit from a +25% bonus to all stats except for vitality, however their maximum TRACE value is locked at 0, rendering them unable to use any skills with a TRACE cost.
Additional Notes
- Players playing replicant characters will have to be aware of their status as a persecuted species - concerted efforts by the Ascension Group to hunt down and terminate rogue units as well as high profile incidents of malfunctioning androids causing the deaths of humans means that they will likely have to hide their nature and attempt to blend in as a human lest they invite great danger unto themselves.
- Characters with the Replicant trait are restricted from acquiring any bloodline trait as well as the following traits: Ancient Bloodline, Built Different, Duality, Dwarfism, Elemental Nexus, Genetic Lottery, Prodigy, Savant, The Imagined World, Trace On!, or Unstoppable.
- Replicants are unable to unlock any skill that requires trace magick or has a trace cost. In weapon skill trees, any skill that requires a trace-costing prerequisite can be purchased without that prerequisite skill being unlocked.
