Ooze
Oozes represent the various forms of run-off left behind in TRACE-related accidents and disasters, taking the forms of strange amorphous blobs of magical energy which possess the most rudimentary of minds. With a lack of greater purpose and an aggressive demeanour, oozes serve as one of the earliest types of enemy players will encounter in the game and the first real test of their combat ability.
Sizes
Oozes can come in a number of sizes from diminuitive oozes with incredibly weak stat-lines, to large oozes which have access to certain magical skills, to even giant oozes who slumber in the depths of forgotten caves.
In Combat
In combat, the following abilities are common to the majority of Oozes.
- Leap - The Ooze charges forward up to 4 spaces (or until they hit a dense object), damaging any character that intersects their trajectory.
- Spit - The Ooze spits a damaging projectile in a cardinal line up to 4 spaces, hitting the first dense object it encounters.
- Sidestep (Bonus) - As the player ability; the Ooze can dodge 1 space in any cardinal direction.
Additionally, depending on their colour, oozes may have access to certain magical skills.
- Green Oozes will use Terramancy skill such as Fortify.
- Red Oozes will use Pyromancy skills such as Haste.
- Blue Oozes will use Hydromancy skills such as Aquamortis.
