Enchanting Enchanting is a gameplay system which allows players to interact with equipment traits. Enchanting uses the enchanting skill from the Artisan skill tree, each level in the skill determines what enchanters are able to do. At level 1, they can identify traits on unidentified equipment. At level 2, they can extract traits from equipment, for an energy and zeni cost. And finally at level 3, they can apply extracted traits to equipment.
