**Martial Artist** is a [[background trait]] which increases a character's damage by 10% when they are unarmed.

==== Additional Notes ====
  * While the flavour for this trait primarily refers to hand-to-hand combat in its text, Martial Artist also increases the user's damage inflicted via [[skills#magic_skill_trees|magic]] or [[cyberware]] as well.
  * Players should take note that some unexpected items such as torches and musical instruments count as weapons while they are equipped and thus will nullify the damage bonus from Martial Artist.
